Hi!
My name is Tom Warren. I am a musician based in Sydney, Australia. I have been playing guitar since 2000.
I am very passionate about music and enjoy using my talents to bring joy and happiness to the lives of others.
I play most contemporary styles of music such as rock, jazz, funk, neo-soul, reggae, and R&B among others.
I perform and collaborate with various musicians in the Sydney area, having performed at weddings, corporate events, award nights, conferences, restaurants, fundraisers, parties, bands, recordings, sessions, jams to name a few. I have performed alongside X-factor finalists Luke and Joel at Carols in Shark park 2010.
I have organised bands for a number of events such as Red Lounge at UNSW Roundhouse and a Fundraiser barbeque for Sydney Children’s hospital. I have connections to singers and musicians of various instruments including trumpet, saxophone, trombone, flute, violin, cello, double bass, electric bass, guitar, piano, jazz organ, drums and percussion.
I have been an active member of Shirelive church's worship team since 2006-present where I have:
- Played regularly for youth, young adults’ ministry, Sunday church, and at special events.
- Been involved in recording Shirelive Youth’s first E.P.
- Performed at numerous conferences such as Radical Conference 2009 (at Church of Singapore), Groundswell (run by Youth Alive) and Synergy.
Shirelive is a contemporary church based in Sutherland.
I have been a guitar teacher since 2010. I am willing and able to accommodate all ages and most levels of experience.
I have completed Certificate IV in Ministry at Alphacrucis College 2010 and undertaking a double-degree in B.Music (Jazz Performance)/ B.Arts (Philosophy) at UNSW from 2011-14.
Contact me if you would like to book me for a performance, organise a band, or have lessons.
Thank you for visiting my website!
Here is a solo rendition of jazz standard “Ask Me Now” written by Thelonious Monk. My version was influenced by Wolfgang Muthspeil and Kurt Rosenwinkel.
Enjoy!
